The saxophone is a flexible instrument that can create visceral and emotional music. As an instructor, my main goal is to curate your artistry and spark curiosity by using the tools of technique, etudes, and repertoire to challenge your ability and fulfill your creativity, regardless of your level.
Lessons will be customized to every student, combining music theory and aural skills, instrumental technique, etudes, and repertoire. Every lesson will combine these elements, and lesson notes will be provided to help guide every student in their personal practice by having a reminder of the material and techniques covered in lessons, and clear expectations of what music and techniques they need to prepare for the following lesson. I will always create a lesson plan that begins at your current playing ability, and will be personalized by your own personal goals, the genres you wish to study, and by clear expectations of improvement on your instrument.
